History

In 1986, Robert S. Shoemaker entered private practice after more than a decade of professional experience working with two of the largest Architectural Engineering firms in the world on projects as the largest skyscraper in the Midwest CITY CENTER SQUARE,

the largest office building in the State of Missouri TRUMAN STATE OFFICE BUILDING,

and the largest office building in the State of Kansas SPRINT / NORTH SUPPLY CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS.

The firm of ROBERT S. SHOEMAKER & ASSOCIATES was initially established in Kansas City, Missouri. providing Architectural Engineering Construction Consultant services for two of the largest lenders in the world on two of the largest Shopping Center developments in the Midwest, WEST RIDGE MALL

and PENN SQUARE MALL. RSSA continued to provide services with the opening of the Office in Atlanta, Georgia in 1987, the Phoenix, Arizona office in 1988, and the Corporate Headquarters in Kansas City in Commerce Tower in 1994.  

International exposure began in 2006 with client requests for investment as shown by BRIC in Recife, Brazil SA, and in 2008 with the change in the world investment opportunities as shown by CIVETS in Envigado, Colombia SA. Together with several large Banks and Investment Managers, primarily for Real Estate Investment Trusts RSSA developed specialized Consulting services for Investors and Lenders. 

Projects for Real Estate Construction and Investment typically include Commercial Office Buildings, Retail Shopping Malls, Hotels and Resorts, and large Multi-family Residential Apartment / Condominium properties. Over more than 30 years, RSSA oversaw an expansion of vision and capabilities from providing Architectural Engineering Construction Consultant services.

Milestones of that expansion included: Real Estate Development commencing with the design, development and construction of DOMINION AT KENNESAW Townhome Project in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

Real Estate Investment Management for multifamily properties began as a service to Real Estate Investment clients in 2016 including APARTAMENTOS IRIS in Envigado, Colombia South America.
